An homage to the table that has always been there.
Da Mario takes its name, and its spirit, from the trattorie that shaped Italian dining culture. Those rooms where the table was never the point, and yet always the centre.
Solid, unpretentious, built to last through decades of Sunday lunches.
The structure is entirely tool-free. No screws, no metal, no hidden hardware. Solid oak throughout. Tapered legs with a rounded triangular section slot into a double stretcher, locked in place by a flat turned wood disc: visible, tactile, honest. A simplified take on Japanese wood joinery, applied to a deeply Italian object.
175 × 75 cm, H 75 cm. Rounded corners, natural oak finish.
Designed to be assembled by hand, disassembled the same way, and built to last regardless.
An NVDRS self-production.
