KOBU is a collection of side tables in open-pore lacquered wood; turned by hand, finished to preserve the grain, the texture, the quiet evidence of the material. The base is sculptural, almost ceramic in its proportion: a swelling form that narrows at the foot and expands upward into a raised-edge tray top, designed to hold without containing.

Two tables, two personalities.
KOBU MARU carries a circular top, Ø40cm, H40cm.
KOBU NAGA carries an oval top 40×50cm, H40cm and H50cm. Wider, more horizontal.

Both available in black open-pore lacquer and natural open-pore lacquer. Same turning, same grain, two different readings of the same object.
